The college football preview from Sports Illustrated features Ohio State on their regional cover. The magazine is picking the Buckeyes as their No. 2 preseason team and is predicting that Ohio State during the season will go 12-0.

The magazine also is predicting that Boise State and Alabama will also have 12-0 records, before Alabama defeats Florida to win the SEC Championship and go to 13-0. The scenario could create some controversy in the postseason. It’s hard imagining Ohio State not making it to the title game if they go undefeated with their schedule, which includes playing four of the top 15 team preseason teams: Penn State, Miami, Wisconsin and Iowa.

According to one Buckeye, Terrelle Pryor might not have been the greatest teammate over his first couple of years at Ohio State. The player who was explaining this, of course, was Pryor himself.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday during the team photo day for Ohio State Pryor said, truthfully I was kind of arrogant I think. In high school when I was a junior everyone around was praising me and saying how great I was. It can make you start to lose your humbleness. I feel humble right now. I am feeling very appreciative and humble.

No one is expecting a complete transformation from Pryor, who is a junior now with 23 games worth of experience since taking over as the Buckeyes staring quarter in his freshman year during the fourth game of the season. However, everyone is looking for some progress from him.

Buckeyes Jermale Hines and Chimdi Chekwa have been selected for the Thorpe Award preseason watch list which honors the top defensive back in the nation.

Neither one of the selections are a surprise. Both players are entering their senior years and coming off solid performances in 2009. Chekwa in 2009 had one interception and 43 tackles. Hines had two interceptions, one sack and 57 tackles. Both players will need to step it up and help to provide leadership following the departure of Kurt Coleman. They should do just fine with their 69 games worth of combined experience.

Today media days for the Big Ten kicked off. The event takes place over two days and has a full list of questions and answers for coaches from each team. In addition to holding the press conferences, the top three teams are chosen by the media as well as preseason defensive and offensive players for the year.

The media, not surprisingly, chose the Buckeyes as the Big Ten winner. Ohio State is looking to win its sixth title in a row. They have talent across the board for getting it done.

The interesting thing was who the media was going to choose for second place. It’s unclear whether the better team will be Wisconsin or Iowa. Both teams have lots of talent returning and both teams should be top ten caliber. The media from the Big Ten gave the Hawkeyes the edge. One of the main reasons I think they did was due to their schedule. Except for the game in Arizona, all their big games will be at home. However, there isn’t any disparity in talent between the teams. They will both make things difficult for Ohio State to win a sixth conference crown in a row.

Terrell Pryor is very happy that he made the decision to go to Ohio State to play football instead of for the Michigan Wolverines and Rich Rodriguez. During the third quarter, Pryor had a touchdown pass for Ohio State’s final score and avoided making too many mistakes, as the Buckeyes defeated Michigan on Sunday 21-10 to win their sixth straight series in a row and the Big Ten title outright. Pryor said, I’m happy to be on this side. The Buckeyes (10-2, 7-1), have now won five conference championships in a row. They head into the Rose Bowl game with a winning streak of five games.

On Saturday night, Terrelle Pryor strode amidst his teammates, with a victory in Ohio State’s hands that has changed how the Buckeyes think about themselves, changed the Big Ten balance of power, and changed what the fans of Penn State have to say about Pryor when they see him next time. In No. 16 ranked Ohio State’s 24-7 win over Penn State they were at their opportunistic, conservative and defensive best. Ohio Sate is now on track for Pasadena to take their brand of football to the Rose Bowl after a 13 year absence.

New Mexico State really didn’t provide No. 17 ranked Ohio State with what they will face over the coming three weeks. They just filled an open date up on their schedule. Terrell Pryor had both a throwing and running touchdown and Dane Sanzenbacher had two touchdown catches in Ohio State’s 45-0 win on Saturday.

Terrelle Pryor, the embattled sophomore quarterback, answered all his detractors by throwing two touchdowns and running on another, as the 18th ranked Ohio State football team was able to bounce back from last week’s deflating loss with their 38-7 win over Minnesota. Pryor, who has been under intense scrutiny due to his shoddy play in their 26-18 loss to Purdue last weekend, went 13 for 25 for a total of 239 yards and also rushed for 104 yards on 15 carries.
